BURY TURN DOWN 70 FOR JOB!

The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

BURY have received 70 applications for the vacant manager’s job – but chairman Stewart Day says not one of them fits the bill.

Chris Brass and Ryan Kidd have been in temporary charge since David Flitcroft was removed from his post three weeks ago, but the Shakers are still on a nosedive after 11 league defeats in a row.

“If we can’t find the right candidate and Brassy and Kiddo have to be in charge for a while then so be it,” said Day.

“When looking at the 70 applicants, we didn’t really identify anyone we thought we could work with to take the club forward.”
