The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO - By Ross Lawson

BARNSLEY boss Paul Heckingbottom says his side is still a work in progress, though they may never quite be the finished article.

He’s convinced he has the quality needed to compete in the division, but the Tykes are struggling to convert draws into victories.

“The talent’s there,” he said. “And they’re more than capable of performing. We’ve seen that plenty of times already this season.

“We’ve shown that clinical, ruthless side ourselves at times. We need to get back to that.

“A lot of clubs in this league have lots of money and have players used to this level. Our players are learning, developing.

“We are all about coaching and developing them. Then, it’s down to the players to buy into everything.”
