SAWYERS OVER THE BUMPS

TWO assists in two games proves that Romaine Sawyers has settled in at Brentford, according to manager Dean Smith.

The midfielder, 25, has already passed the 20-appearance mark since making the move from Walsall and his manager is impressed.

“It has been a bit of a bumpy ride for him so far. It took him a while to find his feet,” said Smith.

“He played a great ball on Saturday for Scott Hogan’s goal and almost exactly the same ball for Lasse Vibe on Tuesday, but they managed to get the numbers back. It’s given him a real boost and he is performing well.”
