CHANGES TO COME AT VILLA

MANAGER Steve Bruce says his Aston Villa side are still a long way away from the finished article and expects changes to the squad in January.

Villa have been on an upward curve since his arrival in October.

Bruce said: “The balance of the squad is not quite right. We have just started. Hopefully, the shoots of recovery are there. Let’s hope we add a few (players) – we will definitely lose a few.

“I have six centre forwards. In that respect we have to get the balance of the squad right.”

He says they will have to do the hard yards to make the play-off places.
