ALI SURE ROYALS CAN SOAR

ALI Al-Habsi believes Reading have the ability to create something special after extending his contract until 2019.

The 35-year-old goalkeeper has been in sterling form since signing from Wigan in 2015, awarded Royals’ Player of the Season in his first year.

But the Oman stopper is convinced the sky is the limit for Jaap Stam’s side.

“I’m very happy and very pleased to be part of this team for another two and a half years,” said AlHabsi.

“Since I signed my last contract I feel at home and I feel this football club can go very far. I’d like to thank the gaffer for this opportunity.”
