SLADE TO FIGHT TO BITTER END
RUSSELL Slade defiantly says he will not give in this season, despite Coventry City’s dire situation in League One.
The Midlands side were 14 points off safety before yesterday’s game with Shrewsbury and look destined for League Two, but Slade defended his record since taking charge in December.
“Just because I’m finding it difficult to win a game now, it doesn’t mean I’m a bad manager,” he said.
“I’ll keep myself going because I’m not mentally weak. That’s just the way I am. I’ve never given up fighting in my life – I’ll rock up and be positive.”
