BREWERS HAPPY TO DOUBLEUP
BURTON boss Nigel Clough has commended his players’ willingness to play in a variety of positions in recent weeks.
Injuries and formation changes have led to 25year-old centre-backs Tom Flanagan and Tom Naylor turning out at full-back, and striker Marvin Sordell, 26, at right wing-back.
“It emphasises the flexibility and versatility in the squad,” Clough said. “It’s that acceptance by players that they’re going to have to do it in this team.
“They can’t always play their preferred position. They’ve got to say ‘I’m happy to be in the team and, wherever I’m asked to do a job, I’ll get on with it’.”
