COLEMAN: DON’T BE FOOLED

The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman won’t be taking for granted the games his side have in hand on their relegation rivals.

Stanley came into the weekend in 21st place, six points above the drop zone.

“People equate games in hand to wins, but all they actually are is games in hand,” said Coleman.

“If you don’t win them, they just damage your goal difference. As it stands now, we have to hope the teams below us don’t win games and we do win games.

“What happens then is that, in the space of two weeks, that six-point cushion can become 12.”
