RETURN TO FORM AT JUST THE RIGHT TIME

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO -

AFTER a run of four games without a win, Plymouth got back on track after keeping up their record of doing well against the higher placed teams.

The Devon team have struggled against the lesser lights at home but, when given time and space to play, they flourish.

This victory gives the Pilgrims breathing space on the chasing pack heading into a tricky spell of games.

Graham Carey’s return to scoring – his first league goal since December 10 – will come as a welcome boost.

Carlisle, on the other hand, will be nervously looking over their shoulder after suffering three straight defeats.

With just three wins from their last 12 games, their automatic promotion hopes are now hanging in the balance.

The visitors had plenty of possession but did little with it and Plymouth keeper Luke McCormick had one of his easiest afternoons of the season as Argyle solidified their hold on second.
