BUNN HAS TASTE OF FA CUP BIG TIME
HUDDERSFIELD’S second string gave it their best shot, but found the might of Manchester City too much to cope with in their FA Cup fifth round replay last Wednesday. After a 0-0 draw at home in the original tie, the Terriers travelled to the Etihad Stadium in good spirits, but with a weakened team in light of yesterday’s key Championship showdown against Newcastle. Nonetheless, David Wagner’s men got off to a dream start with Harry Bunn clinically firing home a seventh-minute opener after a slick break. The visitors held their lead until the half-hour mark, but were then hit with a three-goal salvo in eight minutes. Leroy Sane bagged the leveller before Sergio Aguero (pen) and Pablo Zabaleta netted. City made it 5-1 at the finish with a further goal from Aguero and one at the death from Kelechi Iheanacho.
