The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO RESULTS - By Charlie Bennett

AFC Wimbledon may be the new boys in League One, but defender Paul Robinson sees no reason why they can’t sneak into the play-off places.

The Dons, promoted last season, beat bitter rivals MK Dons on Tuesday, lifting them into the top half of the table prior to yesterday’s clash with Fleetwood

Centre-back Robinson, 35, believes a late charge could cause a surprise or two as they look to finish off the campaign with a flourish and mount a late run for the play-off places.

“It’s a good platform and now we have eight games left to go and attack. We want to finish in the top half and top ten if possible,” he said.

“Coinciding with (Tuesday night’s) result, a top ten finish would represent a really, really good season for our first in League One.

“But we have eight games left and, being realistic, the play-offs is normally 75-76 points so that would mean we would have to pretty much win all nine games.”
