MOWBRAY PREACHES PATIENCE

The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

THE depth and quality of strikers at Blackburn is giving Tony Mowbray a real selection headache.

Striker Lucas Joao, 23, had scored three times in his last two appearances ahead of yesterday’s Preston match but must be patient, says Mowbray.

“I have to say that, if I was Lucas, I’d be saying that there is not much more that I could do,” he said.

“The competition is Danny Graham, Sam Gallagher and Marvin Emnes, but if he keeps scoring goals then he will play.

“Lucas has done fantastically well this week for us, but he has to be patient and wait until that time.”
