CONTINUING to work with manager Uwe Rosler was just too good an opportunity to turn down according to Bobby Grant, after signing a two-year contract extension at Fleetwood.

Grant’s deal was due to run out at the end of the season, but he will now be a member of the Cod Army until the summer of 2019.

The 26-year-old has been a striker or attacking midfielder for the majority of his career but has been deployed at the heart of the midfield by Rosler this term.

The former Rochdale man is enjoying his new role and claims the environ- ment around the club makes it a fun place to be.

“I’m very happy to be part of what we are creating here,” said Grant. “The dressing room this year has been fantastic.

“I said as long as I’m on the pitch, I don’t mind where I play.

“For me, playing in midfield and in as many games as I have, with the quality that we’ve got, makes me delighted.

“The manager has given me a chance and he was a massive part of the decision. I’ve played most of the games and I’ve really enjoyed the style he wants us to play.”
