Addicks fan pays for his ea­gle ‘punch’...

A CHARLTON fan has been found guilty of try­ing to punch Crys­tal Palace’s bald ea­gle mas­cot, Kayla, dur­ing a League Cup game. Addicks sup­porter Daniel Boylett, 36, of Eltham, was ar­rested af­ter trou­ble broke out at the match, which Palace won 4-1, in Septem­ber 2015. He was found guilty at Croy­don Crown Court of at­tempted dam­age for the at­tack on Kayla and also found guilty of vi­o­lent dis­or­der. He will be sen­tenced on April 28. Prose­cu­tor Daniel Hig­gins said han­dler Chris Belsey did not know if the punch had landed and Kayla ‘seemed un­hurt’.
