ARGYLE DUO HAVE TO STAY PATIENT

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE TWO RESULTS - By Rich Dore

DEREK Adams has confirmed that Ryan Brunt and David Ijaha are unlikely to turn out for Plymouth again this season.

Forward Brunt, 23, damaged his knee ligaments at Barnet in March 2016 and, while he should return to full training before the end of the season, match action looks unlikely.

Brunt scored ten goals in 39 appearances for Argyle last season and has undergone a lengthy period of rehabilitation.

Midfielder Ijaha, 27, had an operation on a pelvic problem in November. It interrupted a season in which he had made seven appearances.

Adams said: “If they get themselves back into fulltime training there are a good number of players that are well ahead of them, so it’s not going to be possible (to play).

“We’ll get them back to full-time training as quickly as possible and give them the best opportunity.”

Plymouth are currently second in the table and in a strong position to go up.

MISSED: Ryan Brunt
