NICKY IN NEED OF CHANGE OF LUCK
BRADFORD midfielder Nicky Law is hoping it’s a case of third time lucky in the play-offs come the end of the campaign.
The Bantams went into yesterday’s match against AFC Wimbledon on the brink of extending their season, after losing out to Millwall in the semi-finals last year.
Law, who rejoined Bradford last summer from Glasgow Rangers, hasn’t had any luck in them either. The 29-year-old has lost in play-off finals on two previous occasions during his career.
“It might be a good idea to leave me at home if we get to Wembley,” Law joked. “I’m not exactly a great omen, but the law of averages suggests I’ve got to win one at some point, surely!”
Law missed out with Rangers in 2015 as they were defeated over two legs by Motherwell in a Scottish Premiership play-off final.
Previously, he lost 3-2 to Dagenham & Redbridge with Rotherham in the 2010 League Two equivalent.
