POWER VOWS TO REVIVE ROBINS

The Football League Paper - - CHAMPIONSHIP -

SWINDON chairman Lee Power insists he will leave no stone unturned in his attempts to discover what cost the Robins their League One status.

Town were relegated following a 2-1 defeat by Scunthorpe last weekend and travel to Charlton today with only personal pride on the line.

And with the club so close to promotion two years ago, Power is demanding answers, claiming no one is safe.

“There needs to be a complete clean-out. There are no two ways about that,” he said. “We need the dust to settle. We’ll review everything, top to bottom, at the football club and one thing is for sure: the hard work starts again and I won’t rest until the club is back in League One.

“It’s something we need to analyse. There are so many things. We’re going to have, more or less, a clean canvas to start the season with.

“We need to look at everything, the way that we play, the philosophy of the club, we need to learn from mistakes and come back stronger.”
