OLDHAM LOAN LIFTS CONNOR
CONNOR Ripley hopes to be Middlesbrough’s No.1 goalkeeper next season after a stunning year on loan at Oldham.
Ripley kept 18 clean sheets for the Latics and was named in League One’s team of the season.
“I want to be playing at the club I have supported since I was a kid,” he said. “But ultimately, it is not up to me. If they don’t think I am ready, then I will probably go back out on loan.”
The Latics have released six players: winger Lee Croft, 31, midfielder Josh Law, 27, left-back Jamie Reckord, 25, striker Michael Ngoo, 24, midfielder Lee Knight, 19, and defender Charles Dunne, 24.
