WHALLEY STAYS PUT

SHREWS­BURY winger Shaun Whalley has signed a new con­tract with the club.

The 29-year-old has put pen to pa­per on a two-year deal to keep him at Green­hous Meadow un­til the sum­mer of 2019.

Whalley has been a reg­u­lar un­der boss Paul Hurst this sea­son.

“I think he’s done well since I’ve come to the club,” Hurst said. “He’s ar­guably been our most cre­ative player, cer­tainly since I ar­rived, and I want him to be part of it.”
