FORMER O’S SET TO PLAY AGAIN...
EX-LEYTON Orient stars will get their boots on next Saturday, May 20, for a fundraising match.
The Leyton Orient Fans’ Trust has arranged a match between the former O’s and supporters to help raise money for their regeneration fund.
On one side will be Lingy’s Legends, an allstar team managed by former Orient player, and promotion-winning manager, Martin Ling. His team is set to include the likes of Alan Comfort, John Mackie, Dean Cox and Gary Alexander.
The supporters’ side will be managed by 80s star Steve Castle.
The match takes place at Redbridge FC’s ground, the Oakside Stadium in Barkingside, IG6 1NB (near Barkingside tube station). Kick off is at 2pm. Admission will be pay on the day, at £5 for adults and just £1 for under-16s/senior citizens.
LOFT’s regeneration fund currently stands at just over £155,000 towards a target of £250,000, money which they hope will give them a say in the crisis-hit club’s future.
