CHAPMAN AIMS FOR HAT-TRICK AT EWOOD
HARRY Chapman is hoping to help fire Blackburn Rovers back to the Championship after joining on loan from Middlesbrough.
The 19-year-old winger helped Sheffield United in their promotion push from League One last season –he did the same the season before with Barnsley – and is hoping to leave his mark at Ewood Park.
“It’s a massive club,” said the England Under-20 World Cup winner.
“They shouldn’t be in this league. They need to get back to where they belong, up the top, and I’m here to help out. I can’t wait to get started.
“It would be unbelievable if I could do three out of three and, with the squad we’ve got here, I don’t see why we can’t.”
The opportunity to work with former Boro boss Tony Mowbray was another big factor in Chapman’s decision to make the switch to Lancashire.
He added: “When I was in the academy at Middlesbrough, he was there.
“I’ve talked to the lads who are still there and they’ve all persuaded me, saying he’ll get the best out of you and that’s what I need.”
