CITY DISPLAY SIGNS OF PROMISE
THE action on the opening day at Adams Park was condensed into the 15 minutes either side of half-time, in what turned out to be an even encounter involving the League’s new boys. Matt Green’s opener perked things up following a quiet start and the two teams matched each other blow for blow up until the hour mark, where the match sadly slipped into something of a torpor.
But Lincoln showed signs of promise against a physical Wycombe outfit.
They shouldn’t have too much trouble adapting to this level, even though they received a couple of harsh lessons when they switched off.
For Wycombe, they will have to be less predictable in open play if they are to challenge this season.
