NO NEED TO RUSH MOXEY – TISDALE
DEAN Moxey might be an Exeter City legend but boss Paul Tisdale has revealed he won’t be rushing the defender back for a second debut with the Grecians.
Exeter-born Moxey returned to St James Park after eight years away, the 31-year-old having left the Devon side back in 2009 to join Derby.
The 31-year-old left-back has had spells with the Rams, Crystal Palace and Bolton, but his final season with the latter was hampered by niggling injuries in the second half of the campaign.
He has yet to appear for Exeter this season, but Tisdale explained that he is back in training and trying to get up to speed.
But with Craig Woodman having impressed so far, Tisdale is not going to rush Moxey.
“He’s obviously a bit behind everyone else but he’s in full training. I’m certainly not in a hurry to push him into the team. The players in there are doing very, very well,” said Tisdale.
“Craig Woodman played extremely well (last week), so I don’t have a need to rush that process.
“He’s certainly not far away from playing but I don’t really see at the moment why I should rush that process.”
