NEW DIVISION IS GOOD FIT - CLARK
CLARK Robertson believes the style of League One football will suit Blackpool well throughout this season.
The Seasiders won promotion back to the third tier in May after beating Exeter City 2-1 in the play-off final at Wembley.
Left-back Robertson, 23, is now in his third season with the club and remembers what League One games are like from the 2015-16 campaign.
“There’s more football played which suits our team,” the defender said. “League Two is more physical, but the footballers we have in this squad will suit the league going forward.
“We don’t want to come up and just make up the numbers, we want to have a right good go in every game and try to get as high up in the table as possible.” The Seasiders won 39 points at Bloomfield Road last season, and Robertson is adamant continuing that kind of record will be vital.
“I think we’ve got a better squad this time around, we maybe weren’t prepared for League One last time around, and those lads will be more prepared now with two seasons under their belts,” he added.
“We did have a decent home record last season and we’ll be looking to carry that into this season.”
