FORESTIERI BLOW HITS THE OWLS
WITH just four goals from their first five league games, the last thing Sheffield Wednesday wanted was to lose a prize striker – but Fernando Forestieri will not play again until December.
The 27-year-old Italian suffered a knee injury during the international break and requires surgery. It’s a massive blow to Carlos Carvalhal’s side.
“I’m disappointed for him because he wants to play and to help the team,” said the Owls boss.
“But we don’t feel like we are not strong in the competition because we lose one or another player.
“He can make a big difference, but this is the reality and I wish him to come back as soon as possible.”
