KEV KEEN TO PLAY IT SAFE FIRST
KEVIN Nolan insists his first aim is still avoiding relegation despite Notts County’s impressive start to the season.
The former Bolton and Newcastle midfielder took the reins at Meadow Lane in January, but is not getting carried away with the Magpies winning five of their first seven games.
“We have to get to safety as quickly as possible. Once we do that, we will then reassess what we’re going to do,” he said.
“We can’t start getting carried away saying: ‘we are going to win it’ or ‘we are going to get promoted’. We have to have realistic ambitions.
“We’re in a good place.”
