TIGERS HAVE SIX APPEAL!
Rampant Hull maul the Blues
UNPREDICTABLE Hull City put a five-match winless Championship run behind them in perfect style – by hammering struggling Birmingham City 6-1.
Steve Cotterill was appointed Blues manager on Friday and watched from the stands as his new side were cut to shreds by the rampant Tigers.
Hull made it a miserable last game in charge for Birmingham caretaker boss Lee Carsley as Fraizer Campbell, David Meyler (pen), Jarrod Bowen, Kamil Grosicki, Markus Henriksen and Seb Larsson all got their names on the scoresheet. Sam Gallagher netted a stoppage time consolation for the outclassed Blues.
Elsewhere, Cardiff remain top despite being held to a 0-0 draw at home by Derby. Wolves are up to second after a 4-0 demolition job on Burton. Sheffield United slipped to third after going down 2-1 at Nottingham Forest.
League One table-toppers Shrewsbury beat Scunthorpe 2-0, while Notts County hold top spot in League Two despite losing 3-1 in their derby at Mansfield. Danny Rose netted twice for the Stags.
