JORDAN Ponticelli insists he is happy to bide his time for more first-team action at Coventry.

The 19-year-old striker – who plundered an impressive 27 goals for the Sky Blues’ under-18s last season – scored his first for the senior side in a 2-2 Checkatrade Trophy draw at Walsall in midweek.

He said: “I’m always eager, never really impatient. The gaffer likes hard-working players and you have to earn that place, so I am working hard every day.

“I wanted to make sure I proved a point when I went on (against Walsall).”
