EVERYBODY

The Football League Paper - - LEAGUE ONE -

has their favourite afterdinner story. I was reminded mine this of one of week. It concerned Kevin Keegan.

Sorry, I am not going to tell to ask it. Rather, I just want how English football allowed passion, talent a man of such and verve to ‘get away’.

Here is a manager, now employed aged 66, who hasn’t been in a job since 2008. Yet over 50 per until then he had cent of his 528 games, won Newcastle, Fulham winning promotion and Man City at incredibly, first time out and took Newcastle to he, League the brink of the Premier title.

Kevin Keegan is an inspirational experience, figure. His voice, his his leadership – we should them better. As have used a footballing nation, we nurture gems like should Keegan. They are the people who could make our great game greater. Germany don’t let Beckenbauer away, do slip they?
