THE LATE SHOW!
Last-gasp goals make it a dramatic day in the EFL
IT WASN’T wise to leave an EFL game early yesterday! Late goals were the order of the day in Leagues One and Two. Rotherham looked as though they would lose their derby at Doncaster until League One’s top scorer Kieffer Moore popped up with a 96th minute equaliser. Moore’s 13th goal of the season proved unlucky for Donny, whose boss Darren Ferguson was left lamenting the fact the goal came in the sixth minute of stoppage time after five had been indicated initially.
“It’s very raw, a big body blow,” said Ferguson. “All the lads are gutted.”
Neal Bishop headed home in the 94th minute as Scunthorpe beat Bristol Rovers 1-0.
In League Two, Luton missed out on the chance to go top when Cheltenham keeper Scott Flinders headed down for Will Boyle to net a 97th-minute leveller.
Luke Norris scored a 96th minute penalty equaliser for Swindon versus Chesterfield.
