CLARKE’S GOALS MAY EARN DEAL
IN-FORM striker Leon Clarke could be in line for a new contract at Sheffield United following his recent good form.
Manager Chris Wilder is reported to be considering offering the 32-year-old a new deal.
He paid tribute to the effort Clarke has put into racking up 13 goals in 16 games ahead of the weekend.
“We get asked all the time about what the secret behind Leon’s form is,” Wilder said.
“And what we have done to bring this out of him.
“Really, though, there’s no secret.
“It’s just down to him and his general play. All we ask of him is to work hard and run around.”
