BUDGET BOOST TO AID ADAMS

-

PLYMOUTH chairman James Brent is confident this summer’s transfer budget will give boss Derek Adams plenty to work with ahead of the new season.

Argyle finished just outside the League One play-off places this term.

Brent said: “We have increased the budget quite materially, and appropriately so. Derek still won’t have the highest budget in the league but it will move us up the category.

“Part of that is because League One players are paid more than League Two players, and we clearly had a number of players that moved up the leagues with us.”
