A HAND­FUL of EFL clubs will pick up a £75,000 wind­fall af­ter be­ing se­lected for live FA Cup first round tele­vi­sion cov­er­age.

The first round kicks off with an at­trac­tive tie be­tween Haringey Bor­ough and AFC Wim­ble­don on Fri­day, Novem­ber 9. The match, which kicks off at 7.55pm, is be­ing shown live on BBC Two.

Three other ties have been cho­sen for live cov­er­age and all will be on BT Sport 1. Alan Devon­shire’s Maiden­head United host League One lead­ers Portsmouth on Sat­ur­day, Novem­ber 10 (12.30pm).

The fol­low­ing day there is an all-EFL clash as Neil Aspin’s Port Vale host Sun­der­land (2.30pm), while Hamp­ton & Rich­mond Bor­ough host Old­ham on Mon­day, Novem­ber 12 (7.45pm).

Each of the clubs picks up £75,000 as a broad­cast fee, while all the first round win­ners earn £36,000 in prize money.
