Town set for mu­sic treat

Dal­beat­tie will once again host its own mu­sic fes­ti­val when Folk­to­ber kicks off on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 6.

Now in its fourth year, this year’s event has a new and ex­cit­ing line-up of artists, and a cou­ple of new venues.

With its cus­tom­ary for­mat of con­certs, work­shops and ses­sions, it’s set to be big­ger and bet­ter than ever.

With the fi­nan­cial as­sis­tance of Dal­beat­tie Com­mu­nity Ini­tia­tive, the main con­certs will be held for the first time in Dal­beat­tie Town Hall, while work­shops and ses­sions will be held in the Birchtree Ho­tel and the King’s Arms Ho­tel.

Artists will in­clude lo­cal favourites Mary and Doug Car­roll, Scots and con­tem­po­rary song from Sylvia Barnes and Sandy Stan­age, Chil­dren’s en­ter­tainer Ar­tie Trezise and blues with a smile on its face: The Hokum Hot­shots.
