Wax-off boost for charity
Brave men went through the pain barrier to raise thousands of pounds for charity in Kirkcudbright.
The Harbour Beauty Studio organised a charity waxing with no back, leg or armpit hair safe.
Around 35 men took part and so far around £3,500 has been raised for children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent, with more money to come in over the next few weeks.
A raffle and appearances from kids’ TV favourites Peppa Pig and Skye from Paw Petrol added to the fun.
Beautician Annette Russell organised the event after being inspired by the story of little Zara Elliot, who is suffering from neuroblastoma.
Three- year- old Zara lives at Jessieville near Gatehouse with teacher mum Isla and farmer dad Scott and regularly has to travel to London for treatment.
