Mermaid music fun
A two-day Mermaid Music Festival kicks off in Southerness next Saturday.
The inaugural family friendly event is being hosted by the Mermaid Bar at the holiday village.
Starting at 12pm and running until late, it will be a showcase of local music talent culminating with a headline show from The Moonrocks.
There will be children’s entertainment on throughout the day including DJ Billy’s Kids Disco. The festival starts again on Sunday at 1pm. The line-up of acts includes Gracefell, Alex Maxwell, Darren McCormick, Kate Kyle, Break Out Project, Ward and Watson and Jake Scott.
Supported and promoted by Nick’s Music Promo, Morton Event Support and Alive Radio, some of the entertainment on offer over the two days includes bingo, a charity raffle, tombola, karaoke, kid’s crafts and Cheeky Charlie.
The organisers look forward to a huge turnout.
