Food fes­ti­val looks like a tasty event

Young­sters are be­ing chal­lenged to ad­dress the hag­gis at next week’s Kirkcud­bright Food Fes­ti­val.

The Robert Burn­sWorld Fed­er­a­tion is pro­mot­ing and spon­sor­ing the com­pe­ti­tion, with the un­der-18s sec­tion on Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 21.The adults will have their chance the fol­low­ing day.

The fed­er­a­tion is billing the fun con­test as Best of theWest and there will be tro­phies for the win­ner of each sec­tion and cer­tifi­cates for all en­trants. Mean­while, the haill Six In­cor­po­rated Trades of Kirkcud­bright dea­con con­vener Ian Swan and dea­con Les­ley Gar­butt have pre­sented fes­ti­val con­vener Niomi Brough with a cheque as part of a spon­sor­ship agree­ment.
