Chil­dren are a healthy lot

Well­be­ing stud­ied at part­ners day

Pri­mary pupils at Hardgate, Lochrut­ton and Springholm held a part­ner­ship learn­ing day look­ing at health.

P1 chil­dren looked at the theme of Safe, P2s ex­plored how they could keep them­selves Healthy, P3s in­ves­ti­gated how to keep their body and minds Ac­tive and P4s found out what it means to be Nur­tured.

P5s set out the steps to Achiev­ing, the P6s dis­cussed some moral dilem­mas around Re­spon­si­bil­i­ties and P7s looked at what it meant to be Re­spected and In­cluded.

It was a won­der­ful day with chil­dren and staff join­ing to­gether, shar­ing ex­per­tise and learn­ing, and build­ing friend­ships across the schools.

Maria said: “I think it was very nice to get to­gether be­cause when you get to high school you’ll know more peo­ple.”

Part­ner­ship head teacher Mr Cother thanked staff and chil­dren for all their hard work that made the day so suc­cess­ful.

He added: “We have a won­der­ful team in the part­ner­ship and events like this h sup­port learn­ing l f for all ll the h chil­dren. h ld It was very pos­i­tive to see the chil­dren build new friend­ships and re­con­nect with oth­ers. It has been a great suc­cess!”
