Gallery set toopenup
Kirkcudbright’sWhitehouse Gallery is getting set to open its summer exhibition tomorrow.
The original line up of artists has mostly remained intact but, as gallery life returns slowly, the exhibition will also reflect this period of cautious transition.
The exhibition will see a mix of artists work on the gallery walls and online, alongside new work for the online platform only.
This builds on the success the gallery has found with the online side of things and allows those unable to visit in person this year the chance to be treated to much more on the website.
Artists who will be sending new work to the gallery include Tricia Barna, Fiona Brown, Lizzie Farey, Jackie Henderson, Robert Pereira Hind, Morag Lloyds, Fiona Millar, Kevan McGinty, Anne Skinner and Karen Stamper.
There will also be new and exclusive online collections from Susan Cairns and Dominique Cameron, a new collection of driftwood figures by Lynn Muir, glass by Amanda Simmons and Debbie Lord, laser cut wooden drawings by Martha Ellis and ceramic sculpture by Pratima Kramer.
The exhibition opens at 10am on Friday, July 10. There will be no preview opening.
