Coastguard and lifeboat teams were called out on Sunday to help move a grounded yacht.
Two people had sailed across from Cumbria to Dhoon Bay only for their yacht to run aground.
Although the pair on board managed to get themselves to safety, they couldn’t move their vessel and the hull was damaged.
Kirkcudbright Lifeboat and Coastguard crews were called out in the afternoon but were unable to move the boat.
They returned late at night when the tide was higher and moved the yacht to a safe location so repairs could be carried out.
