Vivienne Crow
The River Eden has become the heart of regular contributor Vivienne Crow’s unusually constrained outdoor world. A 10 minute stroll from her Carlisle home, it’s been natural for her to gravitate towards its banks during lockdown. In the past, she has written features, walking guidebooks and other projects about it, and spotted otters and kingfishers. Since the end of March, her riparian companions have been long-tailed tits, the occasional brambling, goldfinches galore, swans, mallards, mergansers, herons and sand martins. Not bad for a semi-urban setting.
