Eliane Radigue & Lee Gam­ble Mat­lock

Ex­per­i­men­tal French elec­tronic mu­sic com­poser Eliane Radigue is a mas­ter of the ARP 2500 syn­the­sizer, hav­ing worked on it since the 1970s mak­ing Bud­dhistin­spired min­i­mal drone epics. Then, in 2001, she mostly gave up elec­tron­ics and went acous­tic. For this show, Lon­don pro­ducer Lee Gam­ble will be do­ing the same, com­pos­ing a new piece for soloists. The two works will be per­formed in the Great Mas­son Cav­ern in Der­byshire; the au­di­ence will travel to the peak of the Heights of Abra­han by ca­ble car be­fore de­scend­ing into the huge con­cert space.
