Hessle Audio has had quite a year. As well as celebrating a decade in the game, the label has ramped up its release schedule, including Beatrice Dillon and Call Super’s beautiful dub techno 12-inch Injket/ Fluo and Joe’s Tail Lift/ MPH, two warm, puckish takes on deep house
– the latter’s creator plays Northampton this week (43, Sat). It also released the brilliant Marius by Batu, whose own label Timedance is feted for its stable of perkily polyrhythmic minimal techno; he plays alongside Bruce at two dates (The Cellar, Oxford, Sat; Wire Club, Leeds, Wed). German festival Nachtdigital is showcasing its vibe at a London night, with Giegling’s DJ Dustin and
Leafar Legov but without Konstantin, who has been rightfully disgraced for sexist comments (Corsica Studios, SE17, Fri). Get tickets sharpish for The Warehouse Project’s fourday New Year run, with tech-house, old-school, and a fantastic NYD from Bicep, the Black Madonna (pictured) and many more (Manchester, 29 Dec-1 Jan).
