What were you hop­ing for?

A nice evening with good con­ver­sa­tion and good food. I was pretty open-minded.

First im­pres­sions?

Good pos­ture and very smart.

What did you talk about?

Jobs, uni, house­mates, fam­ily, films, mu­si­cals and he told me the story of Martin Guerre.

Any awk­ward mo­ments?

When I ar­rived, I asked the man at the door about the ta­ble for Guardian Blind Date, but he didn’t work there and thought I was ask­ing him out.

Good ta­ble man­ners?

Very good. He didn’t drop food on him­self, un­like me.

Best thing about Ed­win?

Re­ally easy to get along with.

Would you in­tro­duce him to your friends?

I don’t think I’d in­tro­duce any­one to my friends at first, es­pe­cially my house­mates. They would def­i­nitely scare him away.

Con­fi­dent, am­bi­tious, in­tel­li­gent.

What do you think he made of you?

Tall, blond and north­ern.

Yes, to a pub near the restau­rant.

No.

Noth­ing. He was a re­ally nice and in­ter­est­ing guy.
