Fleet Al­liance strength­ens top team

Glas­gow-based Fleet Al­liance, the Scot­tish in­de­pen­dent fleet man­age­ment and l e asi ng spe­cial­ist, has strength­ened its Ex­ec­u­tive Board with two new ap­point­ments.

Grant Board­man, s al es man­ager, be­comes re­gional sales di­rec­tor while fi­nance man­ager An­gela Robert­son is pro­moted to the po­si­tion of fi­nance di­rec­tor.

They join man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Martin Brown and com­mer­cial di­rec­tor David Black­more on the ex­ec­u­tive board of the com­pany, which ear­lier this year re­vealed its fleet size had passed the 10,000 mark, with a com­bined value of more than £200 mil­lion. The firm aims to ex­pand its fleet size by 50%, to 15,000 ve­hi­cles, as part of a five-year plan.

Martin Brown said: “Grant and An­gela have each been very in­flu­en­tial in the success of the busi­ness to date and th­ese ap­point­ments un­der­line our con­fi­dence t hat t hey will con­tinue to make last­ing con­tri­bu­tions to the on-go­ing ex­pan­sion plans.” He added:“While 2012 has un­doubt­edly been a tough year of con­sol­i­da­tion and en­trench­ment for many firms, there are signs of eco­nomic re­cov­ery with in­creased em­ploy­ment and higher lev­els of busi­ness con­fi­dence, which au­gurs well for the coming year.”
