NATIONAL trade retailer YESSS Electrical is to open near Glasgow city centre after a deal handled by Jones Lang LaSalle, acting jointly with FG Burnett on behalf of Legal and General’s Industrial Property Investment Fund (IPIF).

The 5,532 sq ft trade counter property at Baird Street Trading Estate, close to the north of Glasgow city centre and adjacent to Junction 15 of the M8 motorway, will be the company’s 10th Scottish branch.

The business, which has 50 years experience in the electrical wholesale industry, is currently expanding across the UK. Other Scottish branches due to open in 2013 include Livingston, Motherwell and Airdrie, which in addition to Baird Street will give the company a solid footing in the country. An Ayr branch opened in May.

Paul Sweeney, at Jones Lang LaSalle, who handled the letting for I PIF, commented: “Unit six presented a good opportunity for YESSS due to its highly visible roadside location and its proximity to Glasgow city centre.”
