Scotland’s biggest bikefest returns to Knockhill
THE Bennetts Insurance British Superbike Championship returns to Knockhill Racing Circuit on July 6-8 for the fifth round of the 2018 season. The BSB always attracts huge crowds to the Scottish circuit, with around 15,000 fans expected to attend over the weekend.
Scottish brothers Taylor and Tarran Mackenzie are set to make their home Superbikes debut. The sons of Triple Superbike Champion Niall Mackenzie are finally on potential race winning bikes and are beginning to get on top of their 210hp dashboard. If some stitching, cushioning or design furniture could be introduced here it would help achieve distinction.

A large touchscreen in the centre console controls and displays most of the car’s features, which when coupled with 360-degree camera, reversing camera, pinch and zoom controls along with 4G wi-fi hotspot that can support eight devices at one time you have a luxury car prepared to serve the needs of today.
The Ayrshire coast road on a gloriously bright day has attracted a lot of visitors and any hoped-for progress is blunted by slowish moving traffic. But I am in an extreme comfort zone and on the occasion when I can exercise the car a little it is prepared and responds in an instant.

In the Supersport 600 support race, Rory Skinner, the 16 year old from Perth, will make his Supersport debut following several successful outings on the Kawasaki in Scottish championship races.
The action kicks off on July 6 with Free Practice. Saturday builds with support races and the Datatag Extreme Qualifying for the Bennetts Superbikes as they battle for pole position. On Sunday, nine British Championship races feature for the Superbikes, Superstock 1000’s, Junior Supersports, Superstock 600’s Monostar and Sidecars.
