Fu­ture­proof is a high-reach­ing fes­ti­val cen­tred around young peo­ple run­ning this month across Scot­land from Unst in Shet­land to South Ayr­shire. Pair­ing in­ter­na­tion­ally-recog­nised the­atre-mak­ers with groups of young peo­ple oth­er­wise un­likely to have op­por­tu­ni­ties to cre­ate and per­form, Fu­ture­proof in­cludes a piece staged on Aberdeen beach in­spired by Alexan­der Bell, a ra­dio sta­tion where young­sters ex­plore iden­ti­ties through mu­sic and a work made in col­lab­o­ra­tion with young men in HMYOI Pol­mont.

This weeks sees young peo­ple telling their sto­ries in A Mile In My Shoes in Mo­ray, above, and Chron­i­cles, right, a dance work at the Na­tional Mu­seum of Scot­land,
