This is a welcome addition to the city centre’s dining scene, which has recently become overrun by big chains.

Innis & Gunn have taken over an entire arch to create a micro-brewery and bar, which offers 14 draft craft beers, including of Innis & Gunn Lager served from tanks straight from the brewery, along with the brewer’s full range of IPAs and barrel-aged beers. This investment from Innis & Gunn shows that Platform is here to stay, which is great news for the venue.

The food stall offers everything you could want from grilled lamb chops with caramelised red onion pickle from Babu Bombay Street Kitchen, to the tastiest wee burgers from Tiny Dancer’s Slider Pantry.

Child and dog-friendly here and they are happy to do smaller portions for the wee ones.

There is no chance of catching any rays underneath the Hielanman’s Umbrella on Argyle Street but then again why go outside when the food and drink is so good inside? You prefer a linen-clad table and waiters taking your order when you dine out.
