MI New Home, t he Scot­tish Govern­ment a nd home­build­ing i ndus­try- sup­ported scheme aimed at in­creas­ing the avail­abil­ity of 95% loan to value mort­gages, is now avail­able on all new homes up to the value of £250,000 across Tay­lor Wim­pey’s west of Scot­land de­vel­op­ments.

One cou­ple who have used MI New Home to make the step from rented ac­com­mo­da­tion to buy­ing their first new home are Chris Pea­cock, a quan­tity sur­veyor, and his part­ner Debby Bruce, a nurse at the Royal Alexan­dra Hos­pi­tal in Pais­ley. They had been keep­ing an eye on the prop­erty mar­ket while they rented a prop­erty in Pais­ley, and saved up a de­posit.
